Trip Details

Once we arrive at The Pass, we’ll board our vessel and head out into Sea Country in search of Baawi (Humback Whale). With over 30,000 Humpback whales migrating past Walgun (Cape Byron) each year, it is the perfect place to see them as they swim close to our stunning coastline.

On board will be Bundjalung woman Delta Kay, as well as a marine scientist to impart knowledge about whales and other marine animals.

During this experience, Delta will share local Aboriginal history and powerful Dreaming stories relating to significant cultural sites, such as Nguthungulli (Julian Rocks). She will also explain how her family are connected to Sea Country through seasonal changes, migrations, resources, as well as ceremonial and spiritual practices.

After approximately 2 hours on the water, we’ll then make our way back to The Pass and guests will be transported back to Byron Bay Whale Watching Centre.
